Scope
This Sub Committee is concerned with the CST aspects of research, planning, programming, development, coordination, and implementation and other related CST matters.ย These include, but are not limited to: 1) intermodalism; 2) the interrelation of metropolitan, state, and national airspace systems planning; 3) programming of state and federal financing for CST planning and development; and 4) the development of an efficient, economically effective, environmentally acceptable and safe CST system.
Goals
1. Promote collaboration between regional, state, federal and international governments by fostering CST relationships that will promote active involvement and coordination of industry research, dissemination of information and lead to the development of best practices for the CST system and intermodal integration.
2. Support the TRB mission to provide a forum for deliberation and collaboration that promotes planning practices which will contribute to improved communications and dissemination of research findings and best practices for CST relations.
3. Support Airport Cooperative Research Program1 (ACRP) mission, development of research statements, and dissemination of information through a collaborative approach to foster participation in CST planning.
4. Promote and, optimize the development and improvement of CST system funding through the implementation of new technologies and innovative practices.
5. Foster improved CST communication and relationships between public and private regional, state and national CST organizations and agencies through research and best management principles and practices.
